Reform UK MP Condemned For Claiming There Are Not Enough White People In TV Adverts
Sarah Pochin with Reform leader Nigel Farage and fellow MP Lee Anderson.A Reform UK MP has been condemned after she claimed there are not enough white people in TV adverts.Sarah Pochin said it “drives me mad when I see adverts full of black people, full of Asian people”.The Runcorn MP said she blamed “the woke liberati that goes on inside the arty-farty world”.Labour have called on Nigel Farage to condemn his party colleague over her remarks.Pochin was appearing on Talk TV when a called called Stuart rang in to ask whether Reform would “look at the representations of the demographics of TV and public advertising”.He said: “We’re getting to the point where adverts don’t represent what this country looks like and the positive demonisation of white people, just portrayed as criminals or inadequate.” Pochin said: “I think Stuart’s absolutely right. It drives me mad when I see adverts full of black people, full of Asian people, full of people who are anything other than white.”When presenter Peter Cardwell asked her what was wrong with that, the Reform MP replied: “Well it doesn’t reflect our society and I feel that your average white person, your average white family, not represented any more in TV advertising.”Cardwell then pointed out that there are “lots of white people on television”, but Pochin hit back: “We’re talking about adverts and how many times do you look at a TV advert and you think ’there’s not a single white person on it.“It’s something that’s happened because, I believe, of the woke liberati that goes on inside the arty-farty world.“When it comes to northern towns like Runcorn, that I represent, it’s just not representative of the rest of the country. It might be fine inside the M25, but it’s definitely not representative of the rest of the country. People notice and people will switch off.”Sarah Pochin MP: “It drives me mad seeing adverts full of black and Asian people.”Caller Stuart in London asks the Reform MP if her party will do anything about the 'representation of demographics in TV adverts'.@petercardwell | @SarahForRuncornpic.twitter.com/RivnW1tusj— Talk (@TalkTV) October 25, 2025Labour chair Anna Turley said: “It’s astonishing that a senior Reform MP is spending her time counting the numbers of people with a different skin colour to her on TV adverts. “Defining British people by the colour of their skin is completely unacceptable and shows once again that Reform are more interested in dividing our country than uniting it.“Nigel Farage needs to condemn this now, and urgently clarify whether Sarah Pochin’s views on race are welcome in his party.”Related...BBC Question Time Audience Laugh At Nadine Dorries As She Struggles To Explain Reform Immigration PlanBlow For Nigel Farage As Reform UK Fail To Win Key By-ElectionAnalysis: Caerphilly By-Election Result Shows How Nigel Farage Could Be Reform's Achilles Heel
