Strictly Come Dancing Adds EastEnders Star Balvinder Sopal To Line-Up

Balvinder SopalEastEnders star Balvinder Sopal is the fifth celebrity confirmed for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing.While best known to fans of the BBC soap for her long-running performance as Suki Kaur Panesar, she’s previously appeared in all of the UK’s current major soaps, including Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks, in the past.Her other soap credits include Doctors and the radio soap Silver Street, while she’s also appeared in the likes of Waterloo Road and Call The Midwife.Confirming her casting live on Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain, Balvinder later told the BBC: “Being on Strictly is a dream that I held on to, with no proof that it would ever happen.“Working on EastEnders and being a part of Strictly Come Dancing is the stuff that dreams are made of.
