Strictly Come Dancing Line-Up 2025: Gladiators Star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, AKA Nitro, Confirmed

The Strictly Come Dancing judging panelGladiators favourite Harry Aikines-Aryeetey has become the first star announced for this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing.Harry – known to fans of the BBC competition show as his alter-ego “Nitro” – confirmed the news as part of a prank on CBBC’s Newsround on Monday morning.During the show, Harry attempted to dupe Newsround host Jenny Lawrence into believing he was “world-famous choreographer Nicky Trott”, there to talk about a scientific study into the benefits of dancing every day.However, he was quickly rumbled, with Harry then revealing that he was really there to confirm he’d be hitting the dance floor later this year.The Olympic gold medallist had previously been heavily rumoured for last year’s series of Strictly, only to end up competing in the 2024 Christmas special, while his Gladiators co-star Montell Douglas signed up for the main series.He enthused on Monday: “After the Christmas Special, it was so nice I just had to do it twice! I’m so excited to be part of the Strictly family this series and I’m ready to give it all I’ve got.“I’ll be bringing tons of energy to light up the dance floor.
