The Walking Dead Star Kelley Mack Has Died, Aged 33

Kelley Mack at the Chicago International Film Festival in 2021The Walking Dead actor Kelley Mack has died at the age of 33.On Tuesday evening, a post on Kelley’s official Instagram page confirmed that Kelley died over the weekend, with her mum and aunt at her side.“It is with indelible sadness that we are announcing the passing of our dear Kelley. Such a bright, fervent light has transitioned to the beyond, where we all eventually must go,” the announcement, written by her sister, said.“Kelley passed peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving mother Kristen and steadfast aunt Karen present. Kelley has already come to many of her loved ones in the form of various butterflies. She will be missed by so many, to depths that words cannot express.”“She would want you all to know how much she loves you,” Kelley’s sister continued. “And as her sister, I want you all to know how brave that tough SOB was, especially when she decided to make the leap to be reunited with God. I’m so fucking proud of her.”View this post on InstagramA post shared by Kelley Mack (@itskelleymack)Kelley was best known for her performance as Addy in the ninth season of the dystopian thriller The Walking Dead, as well as her roles in 9-1-1 and Chicago Med.Per IMDb, her most recent on-screen credit was in the 2025 film Universal, in which she acted alongside The Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas.She was also involved in film production, screenwriting and cinematography.Back in January, Kelley began radiation treatment after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called diffuse midline glioma (DMG).A post on the fundraising website CaringBridge confirmed last month that Kelley had entered respite care.In a lengthier statement posted on CaringBridge, her family said: “Kelley was known for her warmth, creativity, and unwavering support for those around her.
