Green Party Leader Zack Polanski Shuts Down Jeremy Clarkson's 'Personal Attacks'
Zack Polanski during an appearance on Good Morning Britain in AugustGreen Party leader Zack Polanski has used Jeremy Clarkson’s recent personal attack on him as a way of highlighting his party’s recent growth.Over the weekend, Polanski was the subject of a column published by Clarkson in the Sunday Times, in which the former Top Gear presenter made personal jibes about the party leader’s appearance.“I’m greatly amused by Zack Polanski, who is the newly elected leader of the Green Party,” the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire presenter began.“He is constantly banging on about how he’s going to sort out the country, and I just sit there thinking, ‘Mate, you can’t even sort out your own teeth’. Honestly, it looks like he takes a picture of Shane MacGowan to the dentist.”Clarkson goes on to take issue with Polanski’s proposed policy on imposing greater taxes on higher earners, specifically billionaires, repeatedly referring to the Greens’ leader as “Captain Teeth”.Jeremy Clarkson pictured in 2016Posting a screenshot on Sunday morning, Polanski wrote on X that he has “lots of things to say about Jeremy Clarkson”, but they’re “really not worth” going into.“He knows his game is over and so is resorting to personal attacks,” Polanski wrote. “Piss him off instead and [join the Green Party].”I've got lots of things to say about Jeremy Clarkson.Really not worth it. Actual news: @TheGreenParty announced we have more members than the Conservatives, double the Lib Dems, making us the third largest party in Britain. Now I wonder why GB News wouldn't want to report on that? https://t.co/Q27Jy5eX7zpic.twitter.com/qiEFyqOLnw— Zack Polanski (@ZackPolanski) October 19, 2025Polanski told HuffPost UK last week: “The latest YouGov poll shows the Green Party with their highest ever poll rating. It shows that the Greens were the only party to have emerged from conference season with increased support, showing that people are feeling hopeful again.”He continued: “While Labour has moved further to the right in recent months as it tries to win back voters from Reform, polling suggests that the party is actually losing more support on its left to the Greens and Lib Dems.“When I was elected leader last month, I said that we’re not here to be disappointed with Labour but that we’re here to replace them. I was serious. Because while Labour talks about change, people can see in their weekly shop, their utility bills and crumbling services, Labour are offering more of the same.“The Greens are the only real opposition left in British politics. Standing up for fair taxes, a liveable planet, and a future where compassion and courage matter more than corporate interests. People are understandably disillusioned, but we are here to make hope normal again.”He previously said on his podcast Bold Politics (as reported by the London Economist): “I’m not surprised about personal attacks. They’ve got loads of lines: about my teeth, about my history as an actor, about my name change… “The right just don’t actually have a line of attack against me that’s political. What would they say? ‘Oh, we want to defend multi-millionaires and billionaires?’.”READ MORE:The Greens Now Have More Members Than The Tories As Support SurgesPrince William's Appearance On Clarkson's Farm Raises Eyebrows For This 1 ReasonPrince Harry Blasts Jeremy Clarkson's 'Horrific' And 'Cruel' Column About Meghan Markle
