Trump Once Gave Epstein A Racy Birthday Card With A Strange Note: Report

The Wall Street Journal has published the contents of a lewd birthday message Donald Trump allegedly sent Jeffrey Epstein in 2003 — enraging the president, who denies he had anything to do with the note.The letter features the drawing of a naked woman and a peculiar message about secrets. Here’s how the Journal described it:It contains several lines of typewritten text framed by the outline of a naked woman, which appears to be hand-drawn with a heavy marker. A pair of small arcs denotes the woman’s breasts, and the future president’s signature is a squiggly “Donald” below her waist, mimicking pubic hair.The letter concludes: “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”The letter was solicited by Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s girlfriend and associate, the Journal reported, and was put in a leather-bound album with other messages for Epstein on his 50th birthday.Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump photographed at Mar-a-Lago in 1997.It’s unclear if this letter was among the contents recently reviewed by Trump’s Justice Department, which shocked Trump’s base when it announced it would not be releasing any more Epstein files and was effectively closing the case. They were part of the materials reviewed by the Justice Department during its earlier investigation of Epstein, who hanged himself in 2019 while awaiting trial on sweeping sex trafficking charges, the Journal reported.Trump vehemently denied that the letter was from him. “I never wrote a picture in my life. I don’t draw pictures of women,” he told the Journal. “It’s not my language. It’s not my words.”He added: “I’m gonna sue The Wall Street Journal just like I sued everyone else.” When reached for comment, the White House referred HuffPost to Trump’s Truth Social reaction calling the article a “false, malicious, and defamatory story.” He added he was going ahead with a lawsuit against the Journal and its owner, Rupert Murdoch. “Mr. Murdoch stated that he would take care of it but, obviously, did not have the power to do so,” Trump claimed. Records revealed last year included a witness saying during deposition that she was never asked to have sex with Trump.The two had a friendly relationship at one point, as documented in a 2002 New York Magazine profile. In it, Trump said he and Epstein both loved beautiful women, with Epstein preferring them young.“I’ve known Jeff for 15 years. Terrific guy,” Trump told the magazine about Epstein. “He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”Although Trump downplayed his relationship with Epstein after Epstein’s arrest in 2019, sources have said the two maintained a friendship for years and were frequently seen socializing in Palm Beach.“They were good friends,” Epstein’s brother Mark Epstein told The Washington Post in 2019. “I know [Trump] is trying to distance himself, but they were.”More ties between Trump and Epstein have emerged over the years.Records released in 2019 revealed that Virginia Giuffre, one of Epstein’s accusers, testified that Maxwell recruited her for the sex trafficking ring while she was working at Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s Florida estate.And last year, less than two weeks before the presidential election, former model Stacey Williams went public with accusations that Trump had groped her in a 1993 encounter facilitated by Epstein, who she was dating at the time. She said the two men smiled at one another while Trump touched her non-consensually. “He put his hands all over my breasts, my waist, my butt, and I froze,” she recounted in a video published by The Guardian. “And I froze because I was so deeply confused about what was happening, because the hands were moving all over me, yet these two men were like, smiling at one another and continuing on in their conversation.”
