Hunter Doohan pictured in 2023This article contains spoilers for the most recent season of Wednesday.Wednesday star Hunter Doohan is opening up about his viral scene from the latest season of the hit show.Four new episodes of the Netflix series began streaming last week, with Hunter reprising his role as Tyler Galpin who, it was revealed at the end of season one, is secretly a transformative “Hyde” monster.Because of his character’s uncontrollable powers, when Wednesday is reunited with him in season two, he’s imprisoned, and is depicted shirtless and in chains, which it’s fair to say has really captured some fans’ attention in the days since the show’s return.Hunter Doohan as Tyler in Wednesday season twoReacting to his new-found virality, Hunter quipped that writers Al Gough and Miles Millar “know what they’re doing”.“They created Smallville,” he pointed out, recalling how a similar image of Tom Welling as Superman was “burned into my brain growing up”.He continued: “They know how to make fun TV.”The Your Honour star went on to say: “Reading the scripts was funny. It was, ‘chained up, shirtless, sweaty’. I was like, ‘Are we doing pants?’, because in season one, we had to do the whole sock situation after transformation. I was like, ‘This is going to be interesting’.”During a separate interview with Out magazine, Hunter insisted that fans’ thirst comments are something he’s taking in his stride, telling the outlet: “It’s fun. Bring it on.
