Emma Myers at the Wednesday season two premiere in JulyWednesday star Emma Myers has responded to fans who have begun “shipping” a romance between her character and the Addams family’s daughter.Emma has played Enid Sinclair in both seasons of the Netflix teen drama, who becomes Wednesday’s roommate at Nevermore Academy, despite them being polar opposites, in episode one.Since then, some members of the Wednesday fan community – who’ve dubbed themselves “Wenclair” shippers – have speculated that there could be more to the pair’s relationship than just platonic friendship, which Emma was asked about during a recent interview with Metro.“I think you can read the relationship however you want to,” she said. “’If you want to read it [as romantic], go for it. If you want to read them as friends, go for it. I think it’s all fun and games for fictional people.”Emma Myers as Enid and Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams in the most recent season of WednesdayHowever, Emma did specify: “What I do say is, leave the real people out of it. But have fun shipping the characters if you want, that’s all fun and games.”The first half of Wednesday season two saw the title character distancing himself from her roommate, after having a premonition that she may be responsible for her death, with Enid also exploring a new romance with a fellow Nevermore student. In the most recent drop of episodes, though, the pair share a memorable experience when they have a Freaky Friday-esque body-swap.Both seasons of Wednesday are currently streaming on Netflix, with a third already confirmed to be in the works. The latest batch of episodes notably resolves the mid-season cliffhanger, reintroduces a surprising familiar face and introduces Lady Gaga’s character in one memorable sequence.Gaga also recorded a new song to coincide with her cameo, titled The Dead Dance, which also features within the show and is accompanied by a music video, directed by Tim Burton.READ MORE:11 Behind-The-Scenes Secrets You Probably Didn't Know About How Wednesday Season 2 Was MadeWednesday Star Hunter Doohan Had 1 Big Question Before Filming His Viral Shirtless ScenesThought The New Stars Of Wednesday Season 2 Looked Familiar?
