Adif Knew of Rail Fracture Detection Risk Since 2024, Report Says
Adif had known since 2024 that its systems might fail to detect rail fractures like the one linked to the Adamuz incident. Spain’s transport ministry said only 41% of high-speed rail breaks are detected in advance, prompting an urgent alert from AITAT.
